How guides are rated
One scale, applied to the task rather than the tool, and a clear line where AI stops.

What decides the rating
Three questions: how much of the finished result AI can produce on its own, how often that result needs correcting, and how costly a mistake would be. A task where errors are cheap and easy to spot (a first-draft email) rates higher than one where a quiet error causes real harm (a figure in a tax return), even if the tool writes both fluently.
What a guide checks
- Tool names, plan names and prices are taken from each tool's own pages and dated, because they change often.
- Prompts are written to be copied as-is, with the parts you change marked in square brackets.
- Rules that come from outside the tool (school integrity policies, employer rules, insurance disclosure requirements) are linked to the source that sets them.
Where we send you elsewhere
For legal, tax, immigration, insurance, medical and financial decisions, AI can explain terms and help you prepare questions, and the guide says so. The decision itself belongs with you and, where the stakes call for it, a licensed professional.
