All three carry the same warning in their own documentation: the output can be wrong. OpenAI says ChatGPT can produce incorrect or misleading outputs, including fabricated quotes, studies, citations or references, and may sound confident even when it is wrong (OpenAI). How far AI gets you

AI drafts, you finish. ChatGPT is good at the mechanical part of resume tailoring — matching your existing wording to the ad's keywords and tightening bullets — but it cannot know what you actually did, and it will invent confident-sounding details if you leave gaps for it to fill.

What you still do

Check every line against your own record. OpenAI asks users to approach ChatGPT critically and verify important information from reliable sources (OpenAI). Delete anything you cannot stand behind in an interview. Never add experience, skills or qualifications you do not have.
Do the keyword work yourself as a final pass. The UK government's JobHelp advises spotting the key words in the job advert and using them in your CV, because a CV tailored to the specific job is more likely to be recognised by an applicant tracking system (JobHelp). Australia's Department of Employment and Workplace Relations gives the same advice: use key words from the employer's job ad to describe your past work tasks and responsibilities (DEWR).
Keep the format plain. JobHelp advises against pictures, tables or diagrams, since they are harder for an ATS to read, and says a .docx file is usually the best format (JobHelp). Proofread for typos: an ATS may not pick up a misspelt key word (JobHelp).
