Claude (Anthropic). Free is $0; Pro is $17 per month with the annual discount ($200 billed up front) or $20 if billed monthly; Max starts from $100 per month, and prices exclude tax (Anthropic). The Free plan includes chat on web, desktop and mobile, web search, file creation and code execution, memory and Artifacts; Pro adds more usage, Projects, more models and research, and usage limits apply to every plan (Anthropic). Microsoft 365 Personal ($9.99/month) and Family ($12.99/month) include Copilot in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook with higher usage than free; Premium is $19.99/month at US prices on Microsoft's page. In Family, the AI features are for the subscription owner only (Microsoft). This is the practical pick if you want the plan drafted in Word and the cash flow worked in Excel.

Is the free tier usually enough? For a first draft, yes — a plain-text plan needs no uploads, and ChatGPT Free gives unlimited text chats. You will feel the limits once you start attaching files: Free users are limited to 3 file uploads per day, users are generally limited to 80 files every 3 hours, and per-file limits are 512MB, 2M tokens per text or document file, about 50MB for CSV/spreadsheets and 20MB per image (OpenAI).

How far AI gets you

AI drafts, you finish. The numbers. Your data. If you are pasting real financials into ChatGPT, you can stop new conversations being used to train OpenAI models by turning off "Improve the model for everyone" under Settings > Data controls; chats still remain in history, and temporary chats are not used to improve models (OpenAI).
